Haha...oh man. I gotta deal then in that sense.

.
Simple recipe for Excitement:  Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

Oh, you go that right.
And.....yeah, wouldn't doubt it.
IMO, I wouldn't say there's such a thing of rust-free classic Mini unless it's been in a climate-controlled setting locked in a time capsule and never moved outside, or if someone spent a whole schwack of time and money making it rust-free. But I guess that's part of the true love for the car. We're crazy enough to take it on.
I have quite the extensive list of replacement panels and body work to do on mine. I think someone tried to make it into an amphibious car and boat it out of Japan themselves through the briny sea, arrrrrrr matey.

I had 3 Mini 30 Anniversary model minis , two of which were Burgundy rust buckets, the other one was great but l amsure that the seller, Mark Caldwell spent over 200 hours getting it right

Ohhhh I beg to differ. I'd like to introduce you to my '89 Jap spec Rover. The camera on my phone would need a tetanus shot just to take a picture of it to show you.
Is it really possible to have a rust-free Mini that hasn't had bodywork done?

Hey, QS! Sniffin' around for another Mini, eh? :) I hope you can get one that is not in "Nigerian Used" condition! I remember you sent or posted a picture of a car that had that as its condition.

Good to hear from you QS!

What about South Africa? No idea how shipping from there to Nigeria is, but they have a good stock of cars - prices much better than the UK

It just seems easier to get from the UK here in Nigeria.

I took early retirement last year after a cervical spine surgery. I moved back to Nigeria around March last year after 33 years in the USA.

Say hello to Eric for me.
