Steering rack and steering column is now in!
I used a screwdriver to open up the pinch clamp enough to easily fit the steering column.
The rack is centered, the pinch bolt seems to be in the proper location.
thanks for the help Colin.
now it is onto the front subframe.

Open up the column pinch clamp slightly using a small chisel or old flat screwdriver.

just installled the steering rack.
having difficulty inserting the rack spline into the steering column.
tips & suggestions please.
I have loosened the u-bolt nuts to allow some play.
I have removed the bolt at the base of the column which goes into the groove on the spline.
the column goes on the first spline grooves but not the lower spline grooves.
