Since the instrument panel gets driven by the footwell module, my first recommendation is to check the connectors at the footwell module to ensure good contact.
Then have the software re-loaded or re-flashed into the footwell module. We have had reports of strange electrical gremlins in the dash get corrected by a software re-flash - it seems the software gets corrupted for whatever reason.

Good question: my Suzuki has a similar problem with the radio. The display is fine when it is cold out (winter cold) but as the car warms up, it fades away.
.
