The research for a Mini application, was it for an A-series engine or other? I have a vtec. The Mini pickup in multiple videos from SMCO, is also a vtec. They're using a higher 150amp alternator. The Australian company ( https://www.rencool.com.au ) that makes the a/c unit states that you need an alternator above 100amps on 12 and 24 volts in order to cope.
.
Simple recipe for Excitement: Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

I'd have to see a working electric air conditioner for a Mini to believe it. I've researched these - they work, if you have a 48 volt or higher electrical system. Look at the amp draw for a 12v A/C compressor and you'll see why I'm skeptical.

Wondering if the owner of this is on this forum?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGaeMoIW8wM
The electric a/c unit in that was an experiment of SMCO. Wondering how will it will work. Would like to keep in touch with the owner over time, as I may add it to mine if it works out.
Thanks.
