Contact the Seattle Area Mini Owners Association or the Oregon Mini Society on their website (What! You're not a member??).  There are a couple of members that are very good at what is needed.

Or, JET Motors in Happy Valley, Oregon.

Thanks for the reply!

I did reach out to SMCO.  Great guys.  They send all theirs out to a local guy, but he's booked solid and not taking on new work.  If anyone else has any suggestions before I start cold calling shops, I'd love to hear them.

If you don't find anyone local, I can add a decent option and suggestion. Steveston Motor Co. (  https://stevestonmotorco.com  ) up in BC Canada. They're not too far from you across the border. Quite an experienced group there along side and sharing a shop with AMT ( https://www.amtmachineshop.com  ). They have the in and outs figured out, if you don't already know them. Check their social feeds out, especially their YouTube channel. I'm speaking from experience as they currently have my Mini rest-mod creation. I did some homework and chats with them and have trust in them to do it right. They have a steady flow of American clients to do all sorts of work on their Minis. And a plus for you is that your American dollar will go further with the currency conversion. Just a thought.

.
Simple recipe for Excitement:  Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

Hello, I’m ready to have the bodywork on my 1980 mini completed. It will need to have a few panels replaced and rust repaired before painting. Does anyone live in the Seattle//Tacoma area and have a recommendation?
