Matt: the "mistakes" don't really matter to us either. We just like poke fun at old friends.

I don't think mistakes matter on a message board thread that only matters to 2 others.
So my wife has been "retired" since mid march this year.  One of her former co-workers used the excuse her math was wrong because she didn't have a left-handed calculator.  This is someone I watched say "no, I am not doing that," to her boss.  (It was her job.)  I grabbed Marshall's hand and said I don't want you to catch stupid.  18 years of loyalty and they did nothing for her.  We heard that they hired 2 to replace her and it still isn't enough.  My son got his Mom full-time for summer.  We can't live like this forever so I am also in the middle of looking for work at least not where she was at...

$375,000???!!! WOW!

Seriously though, Matt: I hope you find a good home for Barb. I never got to meet your Dad but I wish I had. He was a "Good'un"

Bittersweet relief is what I will call it.  I got a bit antsy at the 5-minute mark and needed some help, thanks to MEB.  It didn't go exactly as I had hoped.  It is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.  Selling "Barb" is just one step towards our plans and goals.  I still have to sell our starter house, and pay to connect to the sewer at the new house.  Also plan on getting a CNC router in that space "Barb" occupied for a side hustle + personal use.

ve9aa.. thanks for the memory..  MME in 2000 and 2003 in Magog Quebec was the BEST .. I drove my blues wagon... both times.. about 2500 plus RT each time.. and then the stupid ex red head had to have me  drive to Quebec City for the day.. another 700 miles.    the was the year of the in famous oil spill in the parking lot under the Bimis..

Matt

Every time I see you post, or hear the word "Barb" I think of your Dad and how outgoing he was towards folks, myself incl.
I was at MME 03 in Quebec and w/o a car, so he alllowed me to team up with him for the Rally.  Didn't blink..."Sure Mike, c'mon"
He drove "Murph' (I think that was the red Mini's name) most of the rally, but I did get a few miles in behind the wheel.

I never even asked....he just pulled over and told me it was my turn to drive.

Another really great guy.

(where did that car ever end up anyways?  I recall it being from Gibraltor or somewhere like and know it was very powerful without a working speedometer.  Robin had me "time" stuff on my watch and he read out readings from the Tach.  ummm, we didn't finish #1 in the rally but we had fun goll dang it !
I also recall a giant "nut" on the shifter where the knob ought to have been, but I am fuzzy on if that was his car or another.

I saw Robin again at MME 08 in Maine (I think it was) and then only again by email when he was trying to clean out your Grandfather ham radios and give them away to good homes.  He musta taken sick at the end of those exchanges as I never heard back after that.

I miss him.  I am sure you do too.  He was a good one.

-Mike

<----Matt son of Robin.
It is a bit sad, but "Barb," needs to be used and shown.  My Mother Janet wanted to keep it for Marshall, but my father would not have wanted that.  It also needs to be someone outside the community so we can welcome them in.
