The photo noted by Ken was taken on Midnight Dome at Dawson City, Yukon.
We had been dirtier and got dirtier crossing the Liard Trail in the Northern Territory to Yellowknife.

Great the the mini was still being used for what you built it for. Now you can enjoy a rest.
"How can anything bigger be mini?"

Here we are on the last Morning Stage south of Peace River, Alberta. We were Car 8 (A8) on the Spotwalla site.
You can see Car 9 (A9) off the right rear corner of ROO, my Aussie Van, running 1 minute behind us on Stage.
David Fox took photos & videos of entrants from Kirkland, Wash. to Jasper, Alberta. Some are dandies!

2 Classic Minis from the Vancouver Mini Club entered and finished the 2022 ALCAN Summer Rally. The only classics in the field.
Ken Friend & Ron Lockwood teamed up in Ken's 1965 countryman with 1275 and S brakes running new Falkens on S steel wheels. They finished 1st in Historic Vehicles.
My Swedish friend Micke Pettersson returned to Co-Drive my 1973 Aussie Mini Window Van with 1185 and 8.4" Metro brakes, running on new & used Yokohama A539s on 12" Minilites. We finished 2nd in Historic vehicles.
Rally STARTED in Kirkland, Washington on Aug. 23, FINISHED in Jasper, Alberta on Sept. 1 after 5,040 Miles over the 10 days.
We each left Fort Nelson, BC for Yellowknife, Northwest Territory with 40 Litres/9 Imp. Gal. on the roof top racks because, if there was no fuel in Fort Liard, we would need to get to Fort Providence/Big River Services on the Mackkenzie River on our own.
I got quite sick on Day 3 and after driving stages looked to survive until the next...but the Mini was going to finish...and did! After 10 days on antibiotics on getting home I felt much better.
At 79 years of age, I retired from such misadventures and retired the 49-year old Mini too.
