The same poster left a reply with a link in the 'Forum Search' topic thread. Not sure what to make of that one. Getting more creative.

Simple recipe for Excitement:  Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

SCAMMER ALERT:

"ParkerLemke" is a Scammer.

Dubious link and echoed PhatHeadDonnie's post.
(Ironic on a post about a scammer.)

Don't know him, and don't want to judge someone before I do. Don't know Graham at Heritage a whole lot either, but he has a good following around the Mini community. So I'm sure his judgement would be somewhat solid. Not sure if Tyler at Gildred had anything to do with him. But Jeremy at JET is a stand up kind of guy. If he (at the least) has a warning, I would heed that and end the connection with the party in question. Beyond that, the whole story the way you're telling it, makes him sound suspicious, even if I didn't know any of those Mini folk like Graham, Tyler or Jeremy. Sounds like he's burnt some bridges and left a wake of poop behind him. Bail out. Abort. Save yourself.

I've been contacted by a fellow named Bobby Atkinson regarding the purchase of a classic Mini. I sent him links to the usual places; Heritage Garage, Bring a Trailer, Jet Motors, Gilred Racing, MiniMania, etc. He was reluctant to contact these places himself, but said he'd pay me a finder's fee if I found him a suitable car.

I contacted Heritage and Jet and got an earful about their experiences w/ Mr. Adkinson. Anyone else have any experiences with this guy, pleasant or otherwise?
