So i have a 2007 R52. I recently bought the car, drove it to my work (with a airbag light and a seat belt light on) but the car drove ok. Did brake work and the rotor light on and a tech tried to clear the light with a Snap on scan tool and after that i turned the car off then went to start it and it cranks but no start. Had it towed to a Mini mechanic and he did a series of tests to find a bad BCM due to a water leak on the Pass. foor area and water in the BCM. So I got a used 2006 R52 BCM and plugged it in, lights work, key lock unlock work, windows work, but the car still just cranks but wont start. Does my key need to be programmed to the car again( I believe when the tech cleared the codes, he erased the immobilizer code because it hasn't started since that event).
