I think you’ll find “re-shell” is the more usual term for the procedure you describe. But there’s usually a lot more involved.
Swapping bodies/shells often has more to do with identities than hardware... As I said, read up on the topic of “re-vins” and see how much you want to disclose ..... I once knew a guy who had a Austin Healey Sprite sedan....
