It's hard to know if this is caused by a connectivity issue or a failed component, or maybe a software issue...
I would first check the connectors on the back side of the control panel and try disconnect / re-connect to see if the connection can be re-established.
Aside from that, you would probably need the MINI diagnostic tools to see if the module is communicating correctly with the controller. They may be able to tell if it is a communication issue or if the software is corrupt.

Hello, I am new here, looking for a little help... The defrosters are stuck on high and my climate control screen is blank in my 2012 Cooper S. None of the buttons are responding, not sure what to do. I appreciate any help. Thank you.
