And the answer to the question is that 7.9 inches is the biggest possible rotor that will work with most of the 7.5" calipers. and fit in most 10" wheels. Often you must grind some minor clearance here or there to make it work. Many of the aftermarket 4 piston calipers specify 7.9" rotors.

With having a Vtec swap done, I wanted the biggest brake set possible within a 10" wheel set up. The 8.4's only fit very few select 10"s. So I went with the next biggest...the 7.9's
.
Simple recipe for Excitement: Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

I have ventilated 8.4's cut down to 7.9" with KAD 4 pot alloy calipers and they fit nicely inside 10" Revolution wheels.

Why is there a 7.9 disc brake setup? What wheel can it fit?
