Although I came 'late' into the Mini world I have found a lot of useful information on MiniMagazine that gave me the confidence to do all sort of jobs in my car. I will star rereading my old issues (with the tech articles earmarked). Thanks Alex for writing up that section on the magazine,
cheers,
Abel

Lots of rea$ons, but ultimately it's because in the internet age people expect everything for free.
Why spend money on a magazine when you can watch some ne'er do-well spouting bollocks on YouTube or get a fix of Minis on Instagram ?
There are plenty of people earning advertising revenue by reposting other people's work...
This place is a shadow of its former self and not just because of 'him', that just coincided with the rise of Facebook.

What's the reasoning they're calling it quits? I was into that mag way back in the 90's before even buying my R53.
There's definitely enough growing interest into new and old MINI/Minis alike. Maybe there wasn't enough into their mag to keep going? Pitty

Simple recipe for Excitement: Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

I've obviously known for months, but couldn't say anything.
It was a tad emotional writing a final column/obituary for the magazine...

A sad event.
I bought them religiously until the storage became a problem. Years ago I offered them up on this forum and BIG AL contacted me and wanted the whole pile. We eventually figured out how to ship them by bus parcel express at AL's cost - around $80! Big AL would include several issues with each Mini he sold.
Although the custom and restoration Minis were interesting and a source of ideas,I liked most the technical articles which taught a lot about the care and feeding of the wee beasties.
