It just so happens I have the cover off my 94 spirit, so I was able to physically look. The green with thin black wire goes to the sending unit and there is a black wire.

I have the Haynes blue book but it doesn't show the wire colors from the fuel gauge to the sending unit in the gas tank. Does anyone know what the colors are or where I could obtain a complete wiring diagram?
