Fairly common problem on MkIV>
Don't try and do up that screw as tight as you can....it'll break the plastic
Perhaps you can remove it and try a layer of electrical tape or similar around the shaft....re attach

The indicator lever spins when I try to turn indicator on. It still works but is very annoying. I looked at the inner mechanics one time and felt it would be too difficult to fix, as it still needs to move up/down and in/out but shouldn’t rotate. Has anyone been able to fix this without replacing the whole assembly?
