Here is a couple of pictures of mine. it looks like the eye was cut to make a hook this part should go towards the front of the car. The battery is a group 51 Battery which seems to fit quite nicely in there and also Mini alternators are not exactly high output which makes a small battery perfect. I am also going to get a scissor jack which I will store in the space next to the battery.

hello everyone
does anyone have the following items installed on their mini and if so could you please supply a photo of the set up
battery box cover, battery clamp
mine is a 1963 850.
there is a metal bar that clamps down on the battery, and does so by means of two threaded rods, one of which has an "eye" and the other just a simple bend in it., i can't figure out how this thing goes together. a picture of the arrangement would be appreciated. there is provision in the boot for the bolts etc in the form of a metal tag either side of the battery box.
similarly for the battery cover and strap. please could someone supply a photo of these items installed.
