Dan,
Its been awhile since I posted on this forum...so long I had to create a new account several years ago because i no longer had the email and phone number on file. What has happened where there are so many spammers now. I remember this forum used to be pretty active and there was always people with parts and spares for sale.
John
Hi John.
I am not a moderator or employee of our host. What Willie said about trolls, especially one absolute troll, is true. Too many regulars and old-timers got fed up with the lack of supervision over this forum and went elsewhere. I just try to spotlight spammers, mainly to protect visitors and new members from potentially dangerous links.
This forum seems to be almost un-moderated - in the past when I reported a spam post, it and my report would be deleted, usually within the day. Now they just sit there.
Curiously, someone did delete all the threads and posts complaining about the current level of service from MiniMania, It is sad.

I think that Facebook has almost killed most forums. Also on here there were a few really bad trolls that really didn't get very much control over.

Returning the Mini to its exact factory condition as it rolled off the production line in a specific year. This involves meticulous research, sourcing original parts (which can be rare and expensive!), and adhering to factory specifications for paint, interior, and mechanical components. Hi everyone, I've only had my Mini for a year — it's a 1999 Mini that's no longer original, and I've been trying to learn more about Minis. Just last week I visited a specialist in Mini restorations. When I asked for a quote, he asked me what kind of Mini I wanted to build... Boom, I didn’t know what to answer. While I’m not planning to restore it to original condition, I don’t know the terms used to refer to the different styles. If anyone can help explain what the different types are, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
