Probably no more obscure than "That rabbit's dynamite!" ??.  For what it's worth,  I have an outstanding order with their sister division, Spridgetmania since April 29.  Half the order was filled, but the remaining items were backordered.  I've called their order line twice and left messages, as well as an e-mail, but so far no response.  Reading what you folks have posted here makes me wonder about their solvency; I really hope that's not the case.

Sigh!

My account is from March 1999, back when the forum was reset and updated with the requirement to register for an actual account !!
Prior to that we all just entered our username into the blank field and happily posted...

I actually started using the Mania/Spares forum in '97 while looking for info on disc brake hubs.

Ha, that keeps tripping everyone up. I have since deleted that one. The answerwas "Cooper". I was about to replace it with "what's the velocity of an unladen swallow" but figured that might be too deep into trivia lol.

What is the correct answer in the verification box for "Classic mini _______" ?

I tried Moke, 1275, Yes but none of these is the correct answer.

Thanks.

This forum has been in critical condition for a long time, but the time has come to pull the plug and let it die a natural death. I thank all of those who shared their knowledge and expertise to a relative noob when I first bought my 87 Japanese spec 1275 from Herman many years ago. I gave Mini Mania a good amount of business, but that is water under the bridge at this point. I just signed up at Restoration Mini and hope to see some of you over there.

Time of death: Sunday, May 25, 2025 @ 7:37 AM.

Cause of death: Apathy from host

Now it's time to watch the Grand Prix from Monaco!

Happy Motoring to everybody, except the spammers and scammers.

Signing off for the final time here,

Veggivet

Willie_B just made a post over on restoration mini about potential flow over members. You all are more than welcome to join, I'll just need an email sent to me to approve your registration. I get a ton of spam and have to do it manually now. [email protected] if you need help joining.

I've been here a long time too.      I still check in from time to time hoping that this board will come back to it's former glory.

I've been through several mini's:

1963 Cooper,   1974 Canadian mini Converted to US bumpers, a 1989 - racing green re-vin, and my current mini a 1987 UK RHD mini with a very tired engine.

Everyone here is so knowledgeable I would hate to see the forum go away.

I guess it's true what they say - You can never go home.

Michael

As the newbie, (2019) thank you for your service...... Doesn't not appear as if there is a white knight sitting in the wings to revive the 'brand'. I am sure the tariff crap has not made survival any easier. Glad to migrate (I avoid facebook) if anyone has a good idea. KimB

Been here a long time as well.  I miss the daily banter and learning cool mechanical things from all you very knowledgeable guys and gals.

I posted something neutral about M-M (more of a question than anything) a week or two ago and it was deleted within hours.

I'll miss you guys !

I hang out at Dan's restoration Mini website a little.

Sad but true. A lot of forums have died due to Facebook. Faster  response to questions and more folks to help. This WAS the place to be but people have moved on. I keep hoping and hanging around to provide any help I can.

This forum is just about dead. Most of the posts are by scammers, more likely AI scam-bots.  The current owners/operators of MiniMania are not paying any attention to this problem. I am done trying to point out potentially harmful scam posts.

Will the last one to leave please turn off the lights.
