Check to make sure the disc shield is not bent and rubbing on the disc. Have also seen a small pebble get caught between the disc and the shield. https://www.minimania.com/part/HMP441032/Brake-Dust-Cover-Shield-Set-84-Right-hand-Classic-Mini

Hey All,
I have a 1997 JDM Rover Mini, new to me as of Feb. The brakes are unbelievably squeaky!
The car went straight to a specialist before I brought it home, he rebuilt the rear drums with new shoes. Said the fronts looked good.
I swapped the front pads just in case after I heard how crazy loud it is. Rotors looked and felt good with no grooves although I do have a set I could put on if it would help.
I believe the noise is coming from the front.
I've seen shims for sale online but I've never used them before. Would they help? Is there something else I should try?
