If you're moved and settled in by late September the All British Car Day down in Round Rock (Austin Tx) is a great weekend event. Details will be posted in the MOT website. Welcome to the DFW area. It was my home for 40 years before retiring and moved to Arkansas.

For new MINIs: there is a group called Metroplex MINIs that has a good reputation.

There are a number of Mini nuts in the Metroplex. You should have no problems.
