FWIW he did not offer the plate with the carb so my guess is you will need to source one yourself or adapt one of your scooter ones or Harley Davidson flea market finds to fit.

it aint derailed,  i was trying to determine if the carb will work before we shoot the love triangle deal.

An HIF 38 will fit to any 1½" manifold, even the two bolt type as the diagonal bolt spacing is the same.
You will however need the correct CAM4942 abutment plate to go with it.

I'm kind of surprised no one has pointed this out yet. It's a bit difficult to detirmine if the carb will fit when you don't show the side of the manifold it bolts to......

Hello armycook, that was my idea but as it stands now, looks like 'maybe' - I haven't seen any E-mails yet, so I don't know if I'm sending a carb. 

Keeping in mind that I'm on vacation this week and will only be checking my E-mail once or twice each day, in the event that I don't see any E-mail within the next day or 2, would you like an HIF38 in exchange for the plate? 

I don't want you to incur extra expenses producing a plate should everything fall through.

So to finalize:

Jeg gets the #67 plate, Boison gets the HIF38 Carb and I get the yellow old sumpguard (Heres a larger picture of the proposed plate)

90% of my coworkers were navy, army so i know how to tickle their funny bones. one thing i noticed, they're very disciplined in many ways.
