I installed a dealer purchased top rack for my 2002 Mini Cooper S back in 2004 or so. I need to replace the decreative end pieces ... one is missing and the others are badly faded. Do you know where i can get 4 of those??

I really want to get a nice roof rack for my vehicle. You definitely have a lot of options here, and all of them look great! I just want a roof rack to transport bikes with. Do I need to get a specific rack, or can I just look around for one and see what I find? Yes, some customers have added aftermarket fairings to the factory racks to reduce wind noise. Most seem to be fine with the stock set-up.
Unfortunately, the shape of this roof rack (versus the old school round/square bars) is supposed to be anti noise. Thats in theory only. Since this shape is supposed to be anti noise, I don't think the major manufacturers make fairings for this type of rack. I prefer an aftermarket rack and noise is the reason why. Perhaps this accessory will help.
Anyone have any idea on who actually manufactures the Mini Roof Rack? I have one on my 2009-S and it makes a terrible noise when driving over ~40mph. It was suggested that Thule makes this rack, but it doesn't have any parts that are like any Thule rack system that I've seen. I either need a fairing or something to calm down the drag / change the wind flow. But who actually makes this rack so I can complain and find a manufacturer solution. I just paid my dealer $200 to solve the problem, but they couldn't find anything wrong - I can't be the only person who's run into this issue? Really needs a recall on this rack I'd say. Thanks for any help in steering in the right direction. K
