Updated for some common questions I have received:
There is no rust (at least none that I am aware of and I've been into it pretty deep) - the car was restored in the early 2000s (see description) and as long as I've owned it, the only water it sees is when it gets washed.

1976 Leyland 998 Mini. Single SU, 4 speed, right hand drive.

VIN: XL2S1N378243A

As you likely know, these things are an absolute riot to drive. It isn't fast, but its fun, responsive and fully engaging; exactly what you'd expect from an old car. You are guaranteed to be waved at, get thumbs up and have pictures taken of you. Its especially fun when you are alone in the car and there is "no one driving" it from the empty left seat.

Fully restored around 2004 with supporting documentation and photos.

Originally an Irish car, with tax documents and tags.

I have owned the car since 2017 and had big plans to swap in a bigger engine and do the whole mini thing. I began with the following:

Full suspension rebuild:

Coil springs/Bilsteins - eliminating the rubber cones
All new urethane bushings.
Adjustable alignment/ride height parts
Adjustable sway bars

Complete exhaust, from engine to the bumper

Complete electrically re-engineered, with modern relay/fuse panel with ample individual circuits. no more melted switches and dimming lights.

Complete new interior - door cards, leather covered pockets, carpet, headliner, dash with custom glove box (that you can actually put stuff in), leather dash cover. All the indicator lamps have been replaced with LEDs.

I am 6'1", so the driver's seat has been moved back on brackets that can be removed to restore the seats back to their regular position. Keep in mind the factory seats do have some ability to slide, but only within a short range. If you are shorter, you will want to relocate the seat.

Tinted windows
CD player with invisible speakers.
Custom trunk build out
Cooling system upgrades with hoses and aluminum radiator.

As a bonus, I removed almost every union jack decal and accessory the previous owner applied everywhere, with the one noticeable exception. This car doesn't really need anything more to get attention.

Needs nothing but an owner who isn't restoring a house and has the time to drive it.
On my own personal list of to-dos, if I find the the time - I'd like to redo the dash. The veneer is cracking, so a refresh is in order.

More photos are available and I am happy to go into more detail or answer any questions.
