i will we rolling it out in the drive way and degreasing / power washing ( will all important things covered and sealed in plastic bags). Figure this needs to be done either way, as i dont want to keep a dirty engine.
OT: do auto minis, use the same axle shafts? if i had a front subframe, can i fit an auto tranny to my current engine, or do a need a whole auto engine/tranny set up

Nick-
If you really want to get the top dollar for your set up, spend $100.00- $200.00 on a shampoo, detailing job before you offer it for sale-
I offered my 1275 MG Metro Turbo set up for $2,750.00 , had some serious interest, but sold the entire car before l had to pull the engine-

This is the complete front sub frame i pulled from my mini this weekend. Complete MK4 drum brake sub frame w/ MG Metro 1275 A+ engine with rod change tranny (shifter and linkage included)
This was a fine running engine, only issue is PO welded a bracket to use a non verto slave cylinder in the cluch. Shifted fine, just ugly
Engine ID Plate # : 12HD09 157554
Tranny casting numbers: A/BZ.5 DC and DAM 5526
Block casting # WFM 1024
Head Casting # 16E8
If there are more numbers you need, just tell me where to look. Pics show engine dirty but i plan to clean with degreaser this weekend.
I can hoist it on my trailer and deliver with in 250 miles of Oklahoma city for gas money, but you need a way to get it off the trailer.
I have no idea of its worth besides what our host sells tested engines for. I hope to almost buy a MTD sub frame from this, so starting price is $2100
I would also consider full or partial trades for the following:
MTD from sub frame
1275 Auto w/ sub frame
sheet metal, new - full floor or full length half floors, boot floor, front end (a panels, wings, front panel) rh door, maybe more
I also have the rear sub frame out. Its rusted though, but i am selling the radius arms and trumpets as well.
PICS
Video of engine running. - engine was running w/o gas tank as i pulled it drain bad gas, so its running year old gas in the bowl.
