Thanks Jimmy!!! Keep me/us posted OK. I'm dying to see any photo of Clint's Mini Woody past or present. Thanks again.

P.S. Many years ago, back in the mid to late '80's, I once saw a televised Golf Classic where Clint Eastwood pulled up in his Mini Woody to the game. He was sporting an English style cap (lid) as I remember and appeared to be having fun (smiling) in his wierd little car.

Hi John,

Hey! Any more thoughts on the Gents name that had the photo of Eastwood's Woody??? Was he maybe in a Mini Club where we could perhaps get ahold of him? Thanks man!

One of my favorite Minis is James Garners. I want to do a replica some day if only I can figure out the colors.

If you google search James Garner Mini Cooper the pics come up. I think it was a 1965 or 66 Morris Cooper S.  From what I understand it was a regular driver /street racer for him for about 10 years. It looks to me  like the guy who did Garners also did Steve McQueens not sure though.

I think I read that McQueen had something to do with getting Eastwoods car. It was one of a handful of the Cooper Car Company Cooper S woodys.

Hi John,

Wow! That's amazing! Please follow up on that. I would be forever grateful. If I could ever be of help to you, please let me know. Thanks again. I've searched on and off for years for info on Clint's Wagon hoping someday to actually see a photo!

What color and model was James Garners Mini ?

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Still starstruck?  Mickey Rourke's deseamed, done up MK I?  Originally a 997 Cooper?  I have friends who have a car that I suspect is his, but I'd need to know a bit more of what he had done to it.  Considering his lifestyle at the time, he wouldn't be a very good resource on the topic.

I really liked the Monkees when I was growing up, but now all I can see when I hear the song "I'm a believer" is Donkey (Eddie Murphy) from Shrek singing.  What a great tribute to that song!

While Torkelson and Nesmith are credited by most as the ones with actual musical talent, I don't know that I'd put that particular appellation on my resume. Yep, the Monkees were a lot of fun and the tunes do stick in one's head. (I'll probably spend the rest of the day humming "Last train.."). I saw Tork, Dolenz and Jones on TV before they cancelled the last two months of their tour. Not bad at all! If I still lived in the Philly area, I'd be tempted to go to New Hope for that show.

As a matter of fact, if you do a search for Peter-Tork/my Generation there is an interesting video of his life.

Peter Tork is definitely still alive!! He has a band called, "Shoe Suede Blues". He has a website...I believe it is www.petertork.com . He and his band is playing a gig at a local winery in New Hope, Pa on November 25th I believe. Details are at www.newhopewinery.com . Click on "live music".

He hasn't stopped playing!! Jimmi Hendrix called him "The most talented Monkee". Interesting stuff. I haven't thought about the Monkees for decades!! It was a fun TV series. I am sure if we watched it now...it would be really outdated and silly...but at the time, it was fun!!

The Monkees!  Wow, that car of Mike's was complex.  He was always the "thinking one" of the Pre-fab Four.  We used to run to the TV when they came on.  What can I say, it was the Sixties.

Micky Dolenz showed up for my high school graduation, for his step sister that is, in 1975.  I can remember standing waiting to start walking to the stands for the ceremony and he was down the line a bit talking with Debra and some of her friends.  He looked old, but I was only 18, everyone who was ten years older than me was anchient then.
