In front of the TV on the coffee table is accepted method.  Home-made tools...valve rocker ball/bolt from old Mini, high point pick hammer ground round, 6 inch shot bag with number 9 lead snake shot.  Polishing by hand in the kitchen sink.

Hmmm, might be worth doing in front of the TV in the evenings if they are sought after....

As mascherk wrote, these are from '59/'60.  They are slightly smaller in diameter and leave a bit of wheel showing.  The very early type have a slightly different tire valve slot.  The ones in the ad are a tossup for value in that one of them would take a whole evening of careful body work to get right.  The only part that cannot be corrected is the extreme outer bead.  As they are stainless they can be made to look great with careful hammering, smoothing  and polishing with gradually finer wet and dry up to 3000 grit.  At that point the only polishing stick that will improve them is the white stick since the metal is so hard.

I have three sets completed and one set that is still as rough as the ones in the ad.  I figure I have about 40 hours of work in each set...hardly a bargain...but they are proper for an Austin 7 restoration and are getting very rare.  They didn't come from the factory on the Mini Minor but were popular as a dealer modification on the Morris version.

The square slot hub caps are from ~'59/'60 Minis.

What does Parnell say??? I think he talks about hubcaps.  I have never been a big fan of hub caps and don't usually run them.  I have reverse wheels on there right now but am not running the set of baby moons I have (for sale).

I saw these on ebay.
I understood these ones to be fairly rare.  I've got oodles of the rounded slot ones...non of these
