Don't paint the outside edge of the gutter especially white on a green car it will look goofy and top heavy imo. If you need to paint the outside gutter edge cheaply just get a rattle can and do it, it is not a big area that will show up badly.

x13 outside of gutter body colour.

( the drip edge is actually the added piece visable in Nicks pics.....which a 96 wouldn't have

A saw a pic somewhere that had the outside of the gutter painted roof colour....looked odd.

I may have to do the outside of the rail white too, because the paint prep for the green respray was not that thorough. I'll have to take a better look.

Yes a black trim in two pieces which is NLA. The crap they sell to replace it is junk and shrinks in the heat and all they do is hold water and rust out the gutters, you are better off cleaning the gutters up to look presntable and leaving the trim off completely.

So this is why my drip rail edge is not exactly super smooth? It should have some edging over it?

in case that's a bit short, I believe that the outside of the drip rail is the body color, and you can tape it up to the top edge. BTW, check the seam sealer in the drip rail and if it needs some touch up, (add more seam sealer before painting).

Take some pix.

I want to paint my roof white on my 96 SPI.  Should the drip rail remain body color or be painted white?  Should I tape off underneath the drip rail? What did the factory do?
