I removed all the hoses and taped over the openings for the vents... never really need them.  My next step is to weld over the holes and remove the vents!

That would be a little shocking though to have a sparrow join you in the cabin...lol

...though, displaying such a 'bird' in the car, shouldn't incite any 'road-rage.'  Laughing

On the other hand, if you you take it out you will end up with leaves, twigs and small birds coming through the eyeball vent and heater.

Leave it out.

It often falles apart and just blocks the fresh air from coming in. ( that's when it isn't soaking wet ).  you'll also be removing prime housing supplies for mice.

It is there for sound deadening, though often they are wet, filthy, and in the way.  You can leave it out.

I pulled the large fresh-air vent hose out of the right front fender and was surprised to find it has a gray foam inner liner.  If it were adhered to the inside of the hose I would just leave it there but it is loose and apparently blocking the air flow.  Is it supposed to be there?  Sound deadening?
