Steve has not. However, Josh of Yoshifab took one of Steve's stock subframes and modified it to fit a D16 automatic with AC into a standard round nose woody.

He even cast his own intake manifold-- no goofy hose clamps and silicone hoses.

If you have to ask how much, you can't afford it.

Seriously.

Hi Steve,
Have you ever made a frame for a vtec with an automatic transmission?

Steve, I have some storage out in a barn complex - the guy who owns them has a ton of stuff like car lifts & cars too - (I think his pricing is better than decent) I'll check how much he's looking for a lift for - maybe somebody can drag one home for you from the upcoming mini meat west.

If that's Steve's ranch it looks like paradise and I'm very happy for him.

Steve's doing fine, now. He hosted a fantastic BBQ a week ago for SD Mini and MOALA members. He built a rallycross dirt track on his Ranch for us to rip around on. Lots of fun.

I *think* I even saw a B-series vtec conversion subframe leave his garage destined for a customer not too long ago. He's not ready for full-scale production, but he eeked one out for someone.

Plus, he's saved my bacon by allowing me to store waaaaay too much stuff up at his place whle we await being able to move in to our new place.

Me too Steve.  Several years ago before I got my first mini I emailed you a bunch for suggestions and you were very helpful - a credit to the mini world, plus your niche-leading kits.

Steve,

I'm so sorry to hear about you and your partner's health problems. I recently lost my best friend (for 58 years) and business partner.

My prayers are with you and your partner as well as your families.

Just got heads up from Spank.  Yes, I am not ready to put out kits again yet;  I hope to get back to it soon, but things keep popping up, like partner with heart/kidney failure, and me in cancer recovery, and now Diabetes and High Blood pres....Sucks, getting old!

Spank has been a big help and I might get other help soon with wiring shop lighting and air lines.  BTW, Looking for a two-post car-lift to put in the shop......It won't speed up the kits directly, but will with getting/keeping my own drivers running.  Chv Sprint/pickup conversion is still a priority too.  Since the move my contact info has changed...try my email listed here or post on minivtec.com.  I do intend to finish development on a D-series kit for Minis and will post progress as made.  Thanks for all your patience.

Steve has at least 1 customer who has gone D-series with a Ramco subframe.

And yea, he may be jumping back into that 3-cyl pickup sooner than later-- his DD just failed smog and he needs economical transportation.

I'm renting some space from Steve now (to hide stuff from my wife Wink ) so I'll actually be seeing him several times in the coming weeks as I work on a project up at his new place.

But yea, he's still setting up his operation and struggling with prioritizing his "to-do" list.

I'll let him know there's interested parties out there.

He is still setting up his new shop. I am interesting in seeing how his D series kit looks like when finish. Excited and saving my money for it.

Is steve still making frame kits for VTEC swap ?

Any feedbacks of his products ?
