Later Oz cars came from the factory with spacered drums all round....  Not a bad idea if you want to buy wheels but are contemplating a discs upgrade in the future...

They stick out a little but I like the look and don't have to worry about adding flares where I live. Because I've heard mostly negative reviews of Midland Wheel's products and customer service, I'm hesitant to order from them. Mini Spares has their Minilife Minators in 5x10 that look nice. I haven't asked them for the offset, which would probably be a smart next step... So, has anyone some experience with 5x10 Minilight or Minilife wheels on an all drum car? Thanks. Here is a photo of my Mini in green and my brother-in-law's Mini (the white/grey one) with the JBW Minilights.

I installed a set of GB 10 x 5's on a drum braked Mini with Falken 165 70 10 tires and they were fine without flares, not sure if it had spaced drums or not but i don't think so.

As someone in the middle of rebuilding their brake system I also decided to keep it stock for now....i also have a 4 page long thread for troubleshooting.  Hind sight being 20/20 I should of just started off doing discs!  :-)

I hope not to sound like a patronizing jerk for suggesting a disc kit first.

Are your drums the flat style or the ones with the built in spacer (Like Ss have at the back)???  Looking at your BiL car I suspect the later.
