After ROO landed in Canada in January 2014, I found I needed a new clutch master near the end of May.
I also decided to put hi-los in the rear, new rubber springs front/rear and check/reset the Koni dampers up front, new HD adjustable lower arms & tie-rods/control arms, new wiggly pins & bushes for the new lower arms, new steering rack rod ends (longer, greasable Spridget type), repack the rear wheel bearings while swapping over to Cooper S drums.
All followed by a laser wheel alignment to set up at
Front rubber springs were 4 dot & rear 3 dot...the latter collapsed as we headed across Canada. Two stops to adjust the length of the rear trumpets before getting to Sault Ste. Marie. Coming home we had a Club friend in a Subaru carry some of our extra gear west from Milwaukee and we gave him everything we would not need when we got to the Missouri River, as he had to sprint on ahead.
After I got home I swapped out the 'new' rubber springs and replaced with Moulton Smooth-a-Ride set. And thanks to my seatmate, tossed the thoroughly trashed Falkens for a new set of Yokie 539s.
So, before heading for San Diego in late May/very early June, I will check all the drive shafts, suspension & brakes over for leaks, torn boots & torque everything to spec. Like wise check over the cooling system, the ignition system, lights, battery/charging system etc. Check tires for embedded screws/nails/glass, torn/damaged sidewalls...and give an oil change & lube including the greasable steering rack rod ends!
Check tools & spares, wash, wax, clean interior & glass...load camping & personal gear, turn ignition key and roll!
I just tossed 3 hubs into my metal recycling bucket, maybe I'll pull them out and give them another look.

(I wanted to put an A-series in a BINI for MMW, but the same thing that's kept me from being part of the MMW organizing committee is the same thing that has kept me from installing a British Engine in a car assembled in Oxford in Cowley.
That pictured motor is for the LeMons moke-- it was getting a diagnosis for why the oil pressure dropped last event while it was it in the Club/LeMons mini. I plastigauged bearings and they are fine. Changed out final drive so it works on the 15" wheeled moke and replace sycros while it was open. Hope to have it at the car show and autocross.
I finished installing an 850 in the Club/LeMons mini so SDMinis club members can autocross it (and others in attendance, with the permission of an SDMinis club member). Hasn't run yet. Working on THAT too. It too will be at the car show as well as the LeMons MG Metro.
Sadly, I have no running, licensed street cars to bring to the event. Darned project house!

Someone replied and said "thanks for the invitation, i will let Jay know about the event". Im guessing he might be JL's Personal assistant or someone working for him , or one of his crew, i dunno..(??)
So, he might or might not show up, he lives in Burbank ca, which is only 130.5 mi away from San diego...we'll see!!

...and when i say not so perfect, i mean to say the roads are not so suitable for minis, as we all know, San francisco has lots of hilly roads, almost 80% of the roads are very steep, one thing minis don't like.
If you drive your mini going up a 50 degree angle hill, by the time you reach the top, your 850cc mini would be smoking like hell.
If one was able to drive a Mini up a 50 degree slope (of any distance, without a run at it) I think the engine would be OK (even a decent 850) but the front tires would be rapidly turning to blue smoke.
I haven't been to San Francisco, but I doubt any of the streets or nearby roads are 50 degrees.

and in 2013 mini meet ,they organized a free car wash & wax in the event ,that was i believe in Oregon mini meet 2013.
I can foresee this MMW 2016 in San Diego will be a very successful one.
if you live in Mesa AZ, i don't think you have the authority to say something bad about doing the MMW 2017 in Sanfo.

No Meet is without critics for numerous personal reasons, however the best are always those where attendees are in for the whole deal not bits & pieces.
I would never propose or support a ticketed Meet where folks could buy as little as they wanted. Defeats the purpose & enjoyment of a Meeting.
However inspired (and I could probably be accountable for some encouragement) it looks to me that MMW 2016 will be one very, very good meeting and after driving +1,600 miles I look forward to spending +3 days with friends!
