Local locksmith re keyed mine no problem even had the tumbler kits in stock and key blanks also. Worth checking in your area if not you could send the cylinder with a key to //bendlockandsafe.com/.

Contact these guys (website design might look shockingly familiar).

They are able to make any mini key if you give them the 3-digit key code. They have every master key ever made, I believe. I had this service done at MME back in MD as they were one of the vendors on site.

I bought a Mini years ago as a tenager with a worn out FS door/boot lock key and on a whim i checked to see if it would work on other friends Mini's it would open up just about all of them. I heard there were only about 100 different FS key codes over the years, do the math 5.3 million Mini's produced originally with 100 different key codes there are a bunch of them running around with identical keys.

... not that the lock cylinders are very sophisitcated anyway. My mid-1980's Mini's boot/door key has only 4 pin notches and the key will just about go in upside down anyway. I could probably pick it with a paper clip within about 1/2 hour.

Years ago i bought a Jensen Healey with a locking gas cap and a missing key. I took it to a locksmith and it was beyond repair so he took all the tumblers etc out of it and the result was it locked but any key opened it. It may be a cheap alternative rather than re keying every lock to be the same and only you would know.

i am looking for someone that can re-key my boot handle lock cylinder, or can i buy a new one that matches

my door and ignition cylinder already keyed to my key code?, my ignition and door key code is 731. does 

anyone have a good used boot lock cylinder with a key code of 731??
