Blue Potato, the end goal was to build a dry carbon fiber plenum with hidden airfilter to quiet things down a bit, but alas the owner could not toss any more money at it. And PS, there still is no screens on it, he was suppose to add individual sock filters...

Not sure I'd be able to as it's on the car, I posted a few pictures above. What are you looking for specifically? It's just a simple pie cut, the runners overlap a little bit, but there's enough meat in there to clean it up. I may have to try a Skunk manifold (they have round runners?), I like where the edelbrock places the throttle body (at an angle) to clear the master cylinders easier.

I'd love to see some of those as well if you're willing to share. I'm working with a friend to model and 3D print a one-off intake manifold for my own D15B car to do away with the hacked stock Honda intake with silicone elbows - but I'd love to see this solution as well.

Anyone interested in the new cast aluminum D-series conversion intakes needs to contact me or Josh. This includes the other Kit manufacturers. There needs to be a sufficient demand for these to warrant the necessary tooling upgrade to get the cost down to a reasonable level. I would assume that there is over a thousand existing D-series Mini swaps world wide right now and nearly every one needs a better manifold solution. The hard part is getting the word out to everybody, so help out if you know someone.

Thanks for sharing the pics and the details on your build. I've been looking at replacing the silicone elbow hacked intake on my D-15 powered Mini, and this definitely gives me some more ides and options. Great looking car, and I love the 10" wheels as well. Mine came with 13" Superlights that have been replaced with 10s. The handling, and acceleration is WAAAAAAY better on the 10s.

It will def be staying on 10" wheels, that was the one of the main focuses on the build was how to retain 10's, while having a good turning radius, and no flares. It worked out great! Just took a little math to figure out how much to widen the stock steelies to stretch out the tires a bit no to cup on the sides.

I just bought 2 Edelbrock manifolds 2 weeks ago. They still sell them online, as far as I know they still make them. They are a little tricky to work with having ovalish ports. I like the way it positions the throttle body away from the brake and clutch master on a RHD car. As I said I know Josh. I was hoping to see some sneak peaks of the build, ironically enough I was suppose to do that and worked with them for months on it and ultimately had to pull out from the build. Cheers.

I have seen the Edelbrock manifold in a D-swap somewhere and we tried to find one for our car, but it seems they have discontinued the D model. If you know of a source I would appreciate it. Our D frame does retain the stock wheels/brakes/ suspension pieces, but I doubt that we will be producing any more. I am hoping to sell the business to Josh and keep it local; he is an excellent fabricator.
