Just make sure you get the right parts together where they go. Although the 8 pieces look interchangeable, they are unique and must be in the correct location otherwise, the doors won't line up or open correctly.

The nut on the hinge screw is scared with a washer with a tab that is bent to secure the nut.

You can't accurately or repeatably torque a nyloc.

It's a feel thing - take the latex gloves off and see what you think.

too late now but might have been a good idea to count the turns when you disassembled them as a starting point.

At the risk of sounding glib, the answer is "enough".

You set them so the nylock is engaged and tighten periodically so that they feel right.

I am rebuilding to hinges on my 73 van and hoping that someone knows where to set the tension on the springs on the rear door hinges.
