DEI product. I have used their products in several in places on my mini. Lined the underside of the tunnel with their stick on stuff, much quiter and cooler inside now.

Thanks. It's fairly easy to boil the fuel in an HIF without a heat shield.

Just out of curiosity what carb(s) and intake manifold do you have on the car?

Check that the fuel line isn't running too close to the exhaust. You might have a mild vapor lock.

it does the same thing at 1000rpm or 12000 , could it be the bimetal strip heating up and changing the mixture? cause it only starts happening while at idle after a good 4 mile warm up run

Increase the idle rpm ... 800 is too low.

my 69 MKII coopr s 1275 has pertronix 2, idles ok until i take it for 4 mile fast run then when at idle after 2 minutes starts to sputter couple times towards stalling every 4 seconds, can't idle smoothly at 800rpm , I tried everything, new plugs/wires/distributor/coil /fuel pump/vacuum pump on/off, dash pot oil, fuel mix/ choke/ timing / air filter, checked hoses, checked for leak with wd40, fuel filter, any ideas?
