There's no hidden VIN on UK Mokes, but they do have a body number welded onto the body which can be traced with a Heritage Certificate. FWIW, The white Moke shell I bought from you still has the original body number on it.

H Charlie,
I have a Moke project that I'd like to discuss with you.
Could you please e-mail me when you have time to discuss?
It entails adding outriggers like the Philippine Moke in my last post.
[email protected].
Best regards, Martin.

Thanks for the information. It gives me enough to go with in looking at possibilities.

I have the vin stamped into the radiator shroud but I also found it stamped into the top of the crossmember under the right seat.

I am considering trying to get another Moke and may have to go with importing one as proper Mokes (not the Chinese copies or e-Mokes) are slim pickings in the US now (everyone with one is hanging on to it dearly).
Since importing one now requires a state VIN verification, that got me to wondering: where is the "hidden" VIN/chassis number located on Mokes from Australia and Portugal (Rover & Cagiva)?
Does anyone on here know?
