Thanks guys for all your responses! I've found a local company called "Jolly Roger", they specialize in the marine industry around lake Powell, they did a first rate job reupholstering on my Mini seats. They are going to use my existing tonneau cover as a pattern to get the hole placement in the correct place. Out of curiosity I did look up LOXX fasteners but I had already purchased stainless steel "DOT" bur they do look great.

I'm getting a tonneau made tomorrow by a local Colorado craftsman who is really good. Not union jack, but single colour red.
It's not going to be cheap - he does show quality work. He has quite a waiting list, but I'm sure would be happy to repeat.

Martin,
You may be thinking of my Pickup. The tonneau cover on mine is custom made and came with the Mini when purchased. It also has a plain lack cover. I don't know who made the cover, but it was probably made by someone who makes custom boat covers. I recall several inquires here and on the MG Experience web site where people who make boat covers can di this. I don't have a photo hosting site, but you can see most of the union jack cover on my profile photo.

Martin, that is a custom cover. Handcrafted. You probably can layout and cut the patterns yourself. Be sure to label accurately. People can't read your mind.
I want to share a fastener I found that you might consider. It is called Loxx. German Stainless quality and is clearly miles ahead of the snap type fastener. You can find it on eBay. Good Luck with your project. Let us know your progress. Jim

I'm looking for a Union Jack vinyl bed cover for my 1969 Mini Pickup. Any ideas?
I saw one on this forum a couple of years ago but can't find it.
Thanks.
