No 90's Mini had chrome mirrors. They were either body colour, black, or grey.

For your 1993 Mini British Open Classic, researching the VIN with classic Mini specific online decoders or Mini owner's clubs/forums might yield some information, though detailed paturnpike com original equipment can be tricky. The paint was likely British Racing Green metallic. Fender flares were typically black "Sportspack" style. Being a British model, it was originally right-hand drive, and mirrors were usually twin chrome door mirrors. Consulting owner's clubs and online resources dedicated to classic Minis will likely be your best bet for accurate specifics.

If it still has the original VIN plate it should have a 3 letter code for the color. The color for British Open Minis should be HAM the VIN plate should also give you a 3 letter code for the trim. The mirrors should be body color and I have seen them with flares that are body color and I have seen them with black flares. Don't really know the correct answer on that, perhaps they were different depending on the year or destination. I will say that one thing that always bothered me was the front and rear seats don't exactly match. The front seats have green piping between the beige parts and the cloth inserts. The rear seats don't have the green piping there. It bugs me every time I see one. Rover should've done better. The speedometer should be in mph or kph depending on destination country. Hope this helps.

Not much information tied to the vin like current vehicles. Would have more luck finding info if you searched for the make of car, ie British Open Mini. https://www.minimania.com/Mini_Chassis_VIN_and_Commission_Numbers__Part_II

Is there a way to research VIN and original manufacturer equipment?  I have a 1993 Mini British Open Classic and have some questions.

Paint code?  Fender flare type?  Original handed drive?  Original mirrors?
