On all Minis prior to 1975 the front subframe was held in place partially by two long bolts or studs that went through the bulkhead, right in front of the dash. This mounting system also used a unique spacer to fit between the top of the subframe and the bottom of the crossmember. No longer in production and thus in very limited supply!
