This genuine tank from original tooling fits all the long wheel base Minis, except for the very early side-tank wagon. Because of the outside location of these tanks, below the rear cargo area, they seem to take a real beating and should be checked for damage and corrosion. Equivalent to 7.2 US Gallons.

Question:
Over the last year I have been trying to find a replacement fuel sender that has a pipe fitting for fuel to be sucked out by fuel pump. My gas tank does NOT have a hose fitting for the fuel line… My Search has failed so I’m inquiring about a full tank, fuel sender and all the bits needed. Do you have a complete kit? If not can you provided necessary part numbers…. I have been known to order the incorrect parts multiple times and you appreciate your assistance
Answer:
Hi ,

Your question has me scratching my head a bit. Standard Mini fuel tanks have a nipple near the bottom (under the area where the sending unit fits where the fuel hose goes). Are you saying yours has a bung with a pipe fitting there? Is this for a sedan or a van/estate?

However, if the sending unit and fuel gauge work - I would modify the tank to accept the new line. The reason is that I doubt a new tank (with a different sending unit) will work with the Innocenti fuel gauges. It's just a guess, but those cars had totally different gauges than the UK Minis.

Hope that Helps
