The later model 2-speed wiper motors have a self-parking switch. This small internal switch controls the position of the wiper blades as you turn the main turn signal switch off. This part often fails, and if the connection points look dodgy, replace the socket 520161 which also includes a small wiring loom. For Classic Minis, Sprites & Midgets, and Morris Minors with the 2-speed, round-bodied wiper motors.
