Classic Mini Su Hs2 Throttle Spindle Bushing

Most 1 1/4" SU carbs still being used on many of our BMC engines are indeed very used. And they all share a common problem; getting them to idle correctly will be increasingly difficult as they are worn. While over the years they have probably been 'rebuilt' more than once and perhaps even the throttle shaft has been replace once! BUT, the shaft rotates inside the alloy carb housing and it wears the whole oblong. As air is allowed to pass the shaft the mixture changes as the shaft opens, etc. The best solution is to install a simply bush in the housing to return it to a proper round size! The process simply requires drilling the hole and pressing in the bushing!
