Classic Mini mechanical fuel pump thru 1990
Various production periods for our cars used a mechanical fuel pump that bolted to the back/side of the "A" series engine. The pump is the standard diaphram type that is driven off a lobe in the camshaft. As long as the engine is running you have fuel pressure- unless the diaphram breaks. The worst part of this problem is that typically the result is that you dump fuel into your oil! This will dilute the oil and cause severe engine wear! If you don't know when the pump was replaced- be safe- put a new one on!
Version with short arm. No spacer required.
