For pre 1990 cars use AZX1818.
For 92 - 94 cars with HIF38 and 5/16" inlet use WND10005.
Fuel pump is not likely to be an issue. Not sure which carb you are using but I would suggest the first thing to do if the car was sitting for 10 years is the totally flush the gas tank, fuel lines (back to front) AND rebuild the carb. for sure it sounds like the float is stuck!

Hi,
Sounds like it could be a fuel issue, either the fuel pump is not suppling enough fuel at high demand, or the problem may be in the carburetor.
You might try do some tests, fuel pump pressure and volume, they like to run at apx. 2.5 to 3.5 lbs. Volume test, just get a coffee can, disconnect the fuel line, and see how much it is pumping.
If it checks out ok, it could be the carb either vapor locking or clogged, not allowing enough fuel at high demand.
If you have any questions, you can give me a call, I do all of the SU carb rebuilds.
thanks,
Ed
