This is the first type of steering column mounted turn signal indicator switch that was introduced in the Mk III Sprite and the Mk II Midgets. Prior to this, the indictor switch was a toggle type mounted on the dashboard. This switch has a chrome stalk with a black plastic tip. It controls the turn signals and has a hi-beam function by pulling it towards the steering wheel (if wired to provide this function and with the appropriate steering cowl). For cars up to HAN9-77590, GAN4-66225.
