Our heavy duty throttle cable is superior to stock in many ways. A teflon interior insures smooth operation, it's just a little longer to reach without kinking, and a soldered end won't unravel. Keep a spare!
As they age they tend to bind and every time you remove and reattach it to the carb the end gets more raggedy; I usually replace mine when I have the opportunity. If the trunnion (that little bolt with the hole that holds the carb end) is battered or lost the replacement part is ACC5062K.
