Used 18 tooth red speedo pinion as used with 6 teeth drive, now obsolete from Rover but offered as used secondhand items in case ratios require changing. Similar to 22G2024 which went with 5 teeth drive.
Question:
New-to-me 1992 Mini Mayfair, running maybe a Metro engine. I believe it has a 3.65 FD ratio, since I'm seeing 64 MPH at 4k RPM actual on 165/60-12 tires. The speedometer is showing me 53 MPH. The speedo is 20% low across the board. How can I correct the speedometer? Is it possibly using a speedo gear for 3.1 FD ratio, but the previous owner(s) changed the FD to 3.65 FD and ignored the speedo? Is this simply a speedo drive gear change and which one can I use?

Sounds like you would have to change the pinion to get your speedo in line with your new drive set-up. It would be something like this but is out of my realm of expertise
