4.55:1 Crown Wheel & Pinion, Morris Minor

Crown wheel & pinion set for Morris Minors in the original ratio of 4.55:1. This ratio gives you good acceleration in first and second gears with the Smooth and Ribcase gearboxes but revs quite high at freeway speeds. These are factory, NOS, crown & pinion sets - not reproductions, hence the high cost. These are getting very difficult to find these days. There are reproductions available, but these are the factory types without the step in the pinion that fit the early pumpkins with the side fill plugs only.
