Designed and manufactured by Mini Spares, these performance cones are the result of 20 years of elastomer/rubber technology from their competition cones manufacturer. Fits all minis without the need of modification to anything.

Original cone spring design technology is over 60 years old and needed modern scientific advancements and updating. These are the modern version of the older design.

The last time Rover/Dunlop looked at the cone spring for any changes was in 1976 but previously had to negotiate the crossover of bias ply tires to radial (softer wall) type tires as fitted to all minis from 1973, plus the 1275GT Denovo 12" run flats from 1974 that changed the compliance of the ride height and comfort. Also, car weights/wheels changed over the years by over 170 lbs. and up another 85lbs from the 1990's on with 1275 engines, seats and trim.

These performance cones will give stability to your suspension, decreasing body roll and giving consistent ride heights after the initial settling down period, which allows fitting of original alloy trumpets rather than adjustable suspension units such as hilos when the cars originality is to be preserved for increased value.

Most complaints about other suspension cones available is that they sink or sag after use giving unstable suspension heights which in turn is detrimental to the cars handling. These cones will mitigate these issues. These cones should be fitted as a car set of four or at least in pairs.

Hilos or adjustable suspension might allow getting the correct ride heights but that means the hysterisis on each cone is affected and they are all working under different characteristics and limitations.

For the genuine cone springs from original tooling see FAM3968.

DO NOT USE GSV1264 KNUCKLE WITH SPACER ON FRONT EVEN IF 1990-2000 MODEL WHICH HAD THEM ORIGINALLY  - We recommend fitting GSV1118 knuckle joints, even on post 1992 cars due to how these super cones settle.

Please note cars will initially sit higher than standard with standard trumpets until the suspension has settled so Hilos are recommended if you want standard or lower than standard ride height out the box.
