Brake Drum 7 Inch Sprite & Midget | Morris Minor From 1954-1962
The 8" brake drum was used on the front of all Minors from 1962 on once the more powerful 1098cc engine was standard. These are a real upgrade over the more common early model 7" drums. NOTE: if you feel a pulsation in the pedal as you apply the brakes if probably means that the drums are 'out of round'. You can have your old drums turned for less, but only once before the cast iron is too thin! When it gets too thin not only can it be unsafe but you will often find that you have run out of adjustment long before your brake shoes are worn out!
